Molecular chaperones play a crucial role in maintaining protein folding, stability, and function in both normal and disease states, including cancer. Despite significant advances, our understanding of the precise molecular mechanisms underlying chaperone function and their role in cancer development remains incomplete. This conference will focus on recent progress in elucidating the structure and function of molecular chaperones, particularly HSP90, using model organisms. Additionally, we will explore the role of chaperones in networks with other proteins in cancer phenotypes, how chaperones support cancer evolution, and approaches to better target chaperones for cancer treatment. By bringing together researchers and clinicians from diverse disciplines, we aim to foster collaboration and advance our understanding of the critical role of chaperones in cancer biology.

Para todos nosotros es un placer daros la Bienvenida al XVI Congreso Nacional de la Sociedad Española de Hematología y Oncología Pediátricas (SEHOP) que se celebrará en Palma del 30 de mayo al 1 de junio de 2024.

Queremos compartir con vosotros la ilusión que hemos tenido al preparar un programa científico que esperamos sea interesante al compartir las novedades en el campo de la Hemato-Oncología Infantil pero que a la vez combine temas que humanicen nuestra práctica clínica diaria

Estamos convencidos que Mallorca os dará la bienvenida con su patrimonio natural, gastronomía y esperemos que el buen tiempo también para que podáis llevaros una experiencia inolvidable de nuestro congreso. Porque como dijo el poeta mallorquín Ramón Llull, no os toméis la vida demasiado en serio, no es más que una cosa transitoria así que aprenderemos juntos pero espero también que lo disfrutemos aún más.
