Varón de 50 años afecto de adenocarcinoma de esófago estadio IV que ingresa por afagia secundaria a compresión tumoral local. Se inicia nutrición parenteral por el reservorio como puente a colocación de prótesis esofágica. Tras 2 días, se objetiva exudación purulenta por clipper, dolor local e ingurgitación yugular (B). En TAC se objetiva tromboflebitis séptica del eje yugular-subclavio derecho naciente desde reservorio con burbuja de aire intratrombo (A-C).

A 50-year-old man with stage IV adenocarcinoma of the esophagus admitted due to aphagia secondary to local tumor compression. Parenteral nutrition was started through the reservoir in the intering for the placement of an esophageal prosthesis. After 2 days, purulent clipper exudation, local pain, and jugular engorgement were observed (B). The scan revealed septic thrombophlebitis of the right jugular-subclavian axis emerging from a reservoir with an intra-thrombus air bubble(A-C).
